Swing & Piston Check Valves
Check valves are generally used to protect pumps, since they allow the flow only in one direction and prevent flow reversal due to back pressures. Swing type check valves, the most common type of check valves, are designed to produce a low pressure drop in the pipeline. They provide a tight seal as well as a fast closing reaction in case of back-flow.
